Fred Wrigglesworth lived with his family at 135 Hindle House Arcola Street Hackney E8. On the night of Wednesday 18th September 1940 he was at home with his wife Rose and Son Frederick junior. All three of them were killed when a High Explosive bomb dropped from an enemy aircraft hit the flats causing them to collapse. Fred was buried at Abney Park Cemetery Stoke Newington on 26th September 1940 in a common grave with Wife Rose, Son Frederick junior and his Father-in-law Fred Burdon who was visiting them and also died in the blast.
